The Marshes 'Felt right at home since day one'
"Our visits with the Hound Ears Real Estate team over several years, as we explored available options and finally made a decision, could not have been more pleasant. John Morris' knowledge of the history and condition of every home and condo we looked at was hugely helpful. In addition, by the time we made our purchase, John had introduced us to all the assets and amenities that the club offers its members, allowing us to feel right at home there from the day we became new owners.
One of the things we appreciated the most, is that the "commission" we paid went directly into the club coffers and will be returned to us over and over through our enjoyment of the facilities and improvements that make Hound Ears the envy of many other clubs.
We love our place and we love Hound Ears! It was the perfect choice for us and we look forward to many years of fun, relaxation and making new friend in this beautiful setting."

The Wickers are happy to be a part of the Hound Ears community
"We were so pleased to have the experience of working with John Morris and the real estate team at Hound Ears. From the very beginning of our interaction with John, it was clear that he understood the type of home that would suit the needs of us, our two sons (who are in their 20’s), and our 85-year old grandmother. We believe that he found the perfect home for us! We appreciated John’s honesty and professionalism. He made the entire experience pleasurable and as stress-free as possible.
We are settling in now and getting to know our wonderful neighbors and the staff at Hound Ears. We look forward to many years of being a part of this wonderful community."

The Colemans: 'Even after closing, the support continues'
"Hound Ears Real Estate was the perfect partner for helping us find and purchase our mountain home. Not only is the staff extremely knowledgeable about inventory, they listened to us about what we wanted in a vacation home and led us to the perfect house. Never pushy, John and Meghan helped us negotiate and re-negotiate price after inspections revealed further repairs needed. Even after closing, the support continues. The Hound Ears staff practically served as "tour directors" helping us get acclimated to our new community.
We highly recommend Hound Ears Real Estate for any real estate brokering needs in the high country."

The Loves: Hound Ears Real Estate gets results for first-time sellers
“[Hound Ears Real
Estate’s] expertise, experience as well as their straightforward and
reassuring manner made me very comfortable with our decisions in dealing
with interested buyers and the new owners,” Love said. “As first-time
sellers they thoughtfully educated us regarding the market’s limitations
and correctly forecasted the approximate time to sell.”
Working with John Morris and Realtor Meghan Kress, the Love’s opened their home to the community during the Club’s 50th Anniversary Claus Moberg Tour of Homes in July 2014. The Tour highlighted homes designed by legendary architect Moberg, who added a unique Bavarian theme to Hound Ears’ homes from the Club’s inception in 1964.
“The feedback from those [Tour] visitors was excellent and no doubt made our home a topic of conversation among potential buyers," he said.

Charlotte family’s path leads them back to Hound Ears
Many former Hound Ears Club employees go on to do great things and, every now and then, their path returns to its starting point.
Such is the case with the Whites. Jason and Paige White of Charlotte recently purchased a house in Hound Ears through the Hound Ears Real Estate Department. What is so unique about their story is the fact that Paige worked for three seasons in Food and Beverage at Hound Ears while a student at Appalachian State University in the early 90s. Today, she serves as regional sales director for a pharmaceutical company while Jason is part owner with an executive search firm.
When the couple began to seek a second home in 2012, they began a two-year search and reviewed several real-estate listings for a home in the Blowing Rock area.
As they were driving around one day on a trip to the area, Paige said to Jason, “Let’s pull into Hound Ears.” The couple met with Director of Real Estate John Morris and soon fell in love with a two-bedroom mountain home with several streams and waterfalls close by. In February, the couple’s dream became a reality when they closed on the house. The family enjoys the close proximity to Charlotte and the security that comes with the gated-community lifestyle. Jason and Paige are the proud parents of two girls.
“When we were considering a vacation home in the mountains we immediately gravitated to Hound Ears due to its fantastic location,” Jason said.
“It's close to all the conveniences in Blowing Rock and Boone, and also close to the Parkway, the trails of Grandfather Mountain and skiing in Banner Elk.”
“The Hound Ears Real Estate Office is so welcoming and professional in helping us in our search for the right family property,” Jason added.
“Our family is really excited about our new mountain home and being part of the beautiful Hound Ears community.”

The Gilboys: Loving Hound Ears and 'will never sell'
"We purchased a house from John Morris at Hound Ears real estate in November 2013. John is a great listener and showed us exactly what we wanted. He closed the sale with a tour of the club and made the appropriate introductions with both club management and the pro shop staff.
We closed on the property within thirty days and could not be happier. Hopefully, we will never sell, but if we do, we would use John and his staff in a heartbeat."
