The Loves: Hound Ears Real Estate gets results for first-time sellers

Working with John Morris and Realtor Meghan Kress, the Love’s opened their home to the community during the Club’s 50th Anniversary Claus Moberg Tour of Homes in July 2014. The Tour highlighted homes designed by legendary architect Moberg, who added a unique Bavarian theme to Hound Ears’ homes from the Club’s inception in 1964.

Charlotte family’s path leads them back to Hound Ears
Many former Hound Ears Club employees go on to do great things and, every now and then, their path returns to its starting point.
Such is the case with the Whites. Jason and Paige White of Charlotte recently purchased a house in Hound Ears through the Hound Ears Real Estate Department. What is so unique about their story is the fact that Paige worked for three seasons in Food and Beverage at Hound Ears while a student at Appalachian State University in the early 90s. Today, she serves as regional sales director for a pharmaceutical company while Jason is part owner with an executive search firm.
When the couple began to seek a second home in 2012, they began a two-year search and reviewed several real-estate listings for a home in the Blowing Rock area.
As they were driving around one day on a trip to the area, Paige said to Jason, “Let’s pull into Hound Ears.” The couple met with Director of Real Estate John Morris and soon fell in love with a two-bedroom mountain home with several streams and waterfalls close by. In February, the couple’s dream became a reality when they closed on the house. The family enjoys the close proximity to Charlotte and the security that comes with the gated-community lifestyle. Jason and Paige are the proud parents of two girls.
“When we were considering a vacation home in the mountains we immediately gravitated to Hound Ears due to its fantastic location,” Jason said.
“It's close to all the conveniences in Blowing Rock and Boone, and also close to the Parkway, the trails of Grandfather Mountain and skiing in Banner Elk.”

The Gilboys: Loving Hound Ears and 'will never sell'
"We purchased a house from John Morris at Hound Ears real estate in November 2013. John is a great listener and showed us exactly what we wanted. He closed the sale with a tour of the club and made the appropriate introductions with both club management and the pro shop staff.
We closed on the property within thirty days and could not be happier. Hopefully, we will never sell, but if we do, we would use John and his staff in a heartbeat."
