Last night, you returned to your room for a good nights rest, and this morning, there's a newspaper at your door.

Looking at the Dow, however, can't compare with the view outside your window. Paradise, perhaps? No... Hound Ears Club.

But if our comfort and service are rare, so are our amenities. For example, our pool is secluded in a natural grotto, where wild flowers cascade over the rocks, and a large, cool pavilion opens to the breeze.

The Hound Ears Club offers quality golf, tennis, swimming, fishing and more right at the resort. However, we are also convenient to wonderfully unique shopping in the nearby village of Blowing Rock. Boone and Banner Elk are also only minutes away.

There isn’t any other place like it in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hound Ears is located in what many consider to be the oldest mountains in North America, if not the oldest in the world. Just a few miles away are Grandfather Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The George Cobb golf course was designed in the early 1960s and opened in 1964. The alpine style of the club creates an atmosphere of an inviting intimate environment. Hound Ears Club has set the precedent for elegance and tradition by becoming one of the finest four-season, gated communities in the country. In this resort community on 750 lush acres, you can play golf, fish, swim, and rent a lovely house or condominium.

The 18-hole golf course is considered to be one of the most scenic in the mountains with its waterfalls, streams and lakes. While many come to play golf, others come to enjoy the clay tennis courts. Instruction for both golf and tennis is available. Swimming in the heated outdoor pool is also a favorite. Tucked back into the side of the mountain, a huge rock grotto surrounds the pool creating a perfect hideaway.

Dress Code
Acceptable attire for men: Collared golf shirts, turtle necks, slacks or golf shorts up to four inches above the knees. No jeans, tank tops or athletic shorts please.

Acceptable attire for women: Collared golf shirts, turtlenecks, sleeveless collared golf shirts, golf fashion non-collared shirts, slacks or short and skirts up to four inches above the knee. No tank tops or jeans please.

Tennis Information

Court Rentals: Guests with confirmed reservations may reserve a tennis court by calling the tennis courts at 828.963.6441.

1. Rates vary from year-to-year, depending on the unit and its location, and the season.
2. Minimum visits are 5 nights during the year and one week during July and August. 
3. All reservations require a 50% deposit due before arrival; and the remaining balance is due at check-in. An additional $500.00 security deposit is required. 12.75% sales tax will be added.

Green Fees are $90.00 per person, per 18 holes.

Cart Fees are $22.00 per person.

Tennis
Call 828.963.6441 to reserve tennis courts.

Hound Ears Club has 6 clay courts. Court fees are $10.00 per hour.

Pool
A heated outdoor pool is maintained at the Club. The pool is sometimes used for special functions and exercise classes. A pool schedule as well as information on pre-planned children's activities will be made available to guests monthly. Guests may call 828.963.4321 for scheduling.

Maid Service
Your unit will be clean, and sheets and towels provided ready for your arrival. There is no additional charge for this and there is no additional charge for the cleaning after your departure.

Should you need maid service during your stay, please call 828.963.4321. Any maid services will be billed to you on an hourly rate. Fresh linens are available upon request.

Dining Room
Open from June 1 - October 31, 2008.
Wednesday through Sunday: open for lunch and dinner

Lunch: 11:30am – 2pm  |  Dinner: 6pm - 9pm

Monday and Tuesday: dining room is closed

Attire
Lunch: Appropriate informal, casual sports attire may be worn in all areas at lunch.
 

Evening Dining:	Sunday through Friday nights
	Casual with minimum of dress slacks, collared shirts. Dress shoes please.
	Saturday nights
	Jackets and collared shirts. Neckties are optional.

Tee House
Open from April 18 to October 31, 2008.

Fitness Center
One of the newest additions to Hound Ears Club is the relocation and expansion of our fitness center. Located across from the clubhouse next to the playground. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with the most modern of equipment. Rental guests are encouraged to make use of this facility. Personal sessions may be arranged with a private trainer.

Vehicles
No motor homes, trailers, or motorcycles allowed inside Hound Ears security gate.

Baby Sitters
The front desk, 828.963.4321 has a list of area baby sitters for your convenience.
